Here you will find original paintings as well as a selection of Ketubahs by Benjamin Hassan, a Jewish Gibraltarian artist with a flair for vivid, lifelike portraits and landscapes. 
Benjamin has been commissioned by many of Gibraltar’s key figures, including current Chief Minister Fabian Picardo (pictured) and outgoing Governor Ed Davis.

When Benjamin asked if he could portray me I was still in early recovery, but could not deny him his artistic expression. There were ideas how to approach it but I have the creativity of piece of wood and could only just allow him his freedom of expression. When he unveiled it to me I was instantly physically weak and emotionally overwhelmed. Notwithstanding the unbelievable artistic skill and realism that grabs hold of you, there was a deeper emotional underpinning that I can not let go of. Moreover the inspiration it gave others is truly humbling to be part of. I’m so grateful for Benjamin and this gift. I can never thank GD enough... but I do thank Benjamin for this continuing reminder of GD’s kindness.

I lost my son Joe in 1990.  He died as a result of a mid-air collision.  He was flying a Tiger Moth and my favourite photo of him was one of him sitting in his cockpit, smiling and waving.
In 2018 I commissioned Benjamin Hassan to paint this picture and the result gives me pleasure and joy every day of my life.  He is there every day to say good morning to.
Benjamin is undoubtedly hugely talented and certainly his portrait of Joe has brought my son to life, but he is also a wonderful human being, sympathetic and accommodating, and a pleasure to do business with.

Benjamin was very professional from day 1 and understood straight away the emotions and expressions we wanted for the painting to show. Baba Sali has been painted by many artists around the word as he was a major rabbi of his time.
